In the same way we have worked hard to make the operation of our website, documentation, etc as simple to use as possible.

  • The website should auto-detect your location and determine whether you will pay in EUROS (EU countries and ROTW) or GBP Sterling (UK).
  • Our product datasheets are created by SeeSense and show the most important information about an item including similar products and recommended accessories.  Our datasheets all follow a similar format so you can find the information more easily.
  • In some cases we also publish a product selection guide to help you choose everything you require for a system (E.g. Mapir, Swivellink, CamDo Solutions, etc)
  • Our invoices and delivery notes are designed clearly show all of the most important information a goods inwards department or accounts department might need.

SeeSense has offices in the UK and European Union and has succeeded in ensuring that business has not been disrupted since the UK left the European Union.

If you are visiting us from the UK then the website should auto-detect your location and display prices in GB Pounds Sterling (£).  If orders placed and paid for in GBP they will be supplied by our UK office and will be charged with the UK rate of VAT.  There will be no extra hidden charges or import and you will effectively be dealing with our UK office.

There will be no extra charges or paperwork – we will cover any extra cost and deal with the administration – you can’t say fairer than that can you? :-)

The system will automatically check the European Union VIES checker system and if the number is valid for EU VAT (not just local VAT) then the tax content will be removed.

On 31st December 2020 the United Kingdom finally left the European Union.
This could have caused SeeSense a massive problem because we deal with customers across the entire content of Europe.  However over the four years running up to January 2021 we have worked hard to ensure that customers can deal with us with as few barriers to trade as possible!  The biggest concern our customers had was that they might have to pay Duty and have extra paperwork of they dealt with SeeSense.  We are pleased to say that this could not be further from the truth.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

EUROPEAN UNION –  If you live within the European Union you can deal directly with our EU office in Slovakia. We all speak English and are happy to try and practice our French, German, Spanish, Czech and Slovak language!  When you purchase from us you will be buying from an EU business so there will be NO unseen IMPORT DUTY to pay, NO courier handling charges, NO extra VAT to pay and NO IMPORT PAPERWORK.

UNITED KINGDOM –  If you live in the United Kingdom you can deal directly with our UK office.  We all speak English and, as you can see, our website is also in English.  When you purchase from us you will be buying from an UK business so there will be NO unseen IMPORT DUTY, NO courier handling charges, NO extra VAT to pay and NO IMPORT PAPERWORK.

If products featured in our E-shop are described as IN STOCK  then this means that one or more of these products is held in either one or both our SeeSense EU (€ EURO sales) or SeeSense UK (£ GBP sales) offices.

You can either CONTACT US to check the stock location or order the item.  If the ordered item IS NOT at the correct office we will do our best to inform you of the situation within 24 hours.  We will check with you how urgent your requirement is and inform you of the expected delivery time.  The stock will either :

  1. Be transferred between our offices and then shipped to you
  2. Be shipped directly to you Incoterms DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) with NO extra shipping and import duty cost
  3. The replacement stock will arrive from our supplier and we will ship to you a little later by next day DHL courier.

    • If you do not enter a valid VAT number then the system will include VAT at 20% (the rate in Slovakia).
    • Remember, it will still be possible for you to reclaim the VAT but you will need to do this locally when submitting your VAT return.

We use DHL Express for shipping our parcels.  When your order is processed we will use your e-mail address and phone number for the contact details for the courier.  The tracking information is then e-mailed to you from the DHL website so, if you have not received the notification, please check your SPAM folder.  The telephone number is provided to the courier in case the driver needs to contact you regarding the delivery.

We will often also e-mail you directly with the tracking number especially if we are sending you a copy of the sales invoice.

We want you to be happy with our service and normally ship customer orders within 24 hours of you placing the order.  There can be exceptions to this such as

  • When we have abnormally high workload
  • If you are ordering a system solutions which needs pulling together
  • If we carry our a QC (quality control) test on the equipment before shipping
  • If a product requires setting up or modification
  • If we need to make a stock transfer between our offices
  • If we are out of stock

OUR PLEDGE – If we do run into a problem with delivery of your order we will normally contact you and inform you of the situation.

We use DHL Express to deliver our shipments.  They generally offer a next day service across Europe unless you are located in a remote area.

If you do require your order with any urgency please CONTACT US and we will happily prioritise your order.

Once we receive your order we will process it and put a priority on delivering the order as soon as possible.  Once the shipment is prepared we will create an invoice for both of our records.

Generally we will include the invoice with the order if you are purchasing as an individual.  If you are ordering as a business we will normally e-mail you with a PDF of the invoice and the parcel tracking number.

If you require an original invoice with our company stamp or would like the invoice urgently please CONTACT US and we will be pleased to help.

Our preferred courier is DHL Express.  This may be slightly more expensive than using low cost courier or the postal service however

  • your order will be delivered more quickly
  • your order is traceable
  • your order is secure
  • your is more likely to arrive on time.

The shipping cost is calculated by integrating with DHL website and calculated using pre-determined dimensions and weights for each item.  This dimension and weight is calculated as if the time is a packed parcel ready to ship.  Very occasionally the shipping cost can be seen as being abnormally high.

  • Our DHL pricing is a fairly flat rate up to 10KG so if you are purchasing something small and low cost then the shipping cost might be high.
  • You could be purchasing several different items and the packed dimensions make the parcel very large.

Our aim is to have happy customers so, if you think the shipping cost is abnormally high, please do CONTACT US and we can discuss an alternative shipping method.  Quite often we will simply contact customers and offer to refund some of the shipping cost or provide a credit note.

We want you to be happy with the products you purchase from us and to know that we provide full after sales support.  We only work with reputable suppliers manufacturing a good / high quality products of merchantable quality.  In all cases SeeSense offers the same warranty period as the product manufacturer as standard however this will vary for B2C customers.  You should CONTACT US to confirm the warranty period for the product you are purchasing.

Most manufacturers give at least one year’s guarantee from freedom of manufacturingdefects however if you are an individual (B2C / Business to Consumer) purchasing a product from us then we guarantee the products for two years as per EU and UK consumer law.  (“Consumer” means an individual acting for purposes that are wholly or mainly outside that individual’s trade, business, craft or profession.)
