The WVS-51 is the world’s smallest colour wide dynamic range camera and is an ideal miniature colour welding solution measuring just 21 x 21 x 79mm. It features a special colour) logarithmic camera sensor which automatically compensates exposure before, during and after the welding process. The camera is purpose designed for monitoring a wide range of welding processes and connects to a Windows PC for power and control. A user interface allows control of the camera functionality including overlay enhanced “areas of interest”. Contact us for help and more information.

Product Description
In semi-automatic or automatic welding systems the operation and control of the welding head often occurs at a remote control station. Optimal positioning and adjustment of the welding process therefore requires a visual inspection.
The WVS-51 is the world’s smallest colour wide dynamic range camera and is an ideal miniature colour welding solution measuring just 21 x 21 x 79mm powered by and outputting a USB 2.0 signal.
The interchangeable lenses are easy to focus and protected from weld spatter by a special ‘iris cover’ which also helps improve image quality (depth of field). A short cable exits the WVS-51 camera connecting to a longer 1.5 metre cable with a USB-A connector attaching to a PC.
The WVS-51 camera is ideal for welding in small and tight locations and, as such, sees regular use in specialist applications such as the nuclear and aerospace industry where the welding process could not be monitored. This ultra-wide dynamic range camera is therefore perfect for situations where extreme bright and dark lighting is present such as welding or viewing car numberplates at night.
