The NEW MAPIR Survey3 PRO is a range of 12 multispectral imaging cameras installed in an IP67 rated enclosure along with a Mapir advanced V2 GNSS (uBlox MAX-M10S) GPS Receiver.
They come with a choice of the following combination of options:
- Wide (87°) and Narrow (41°) angle of view
- Manual or fixed focus lens
- Choice of six multispectral filters
- Visible Light (RGB)
- Orange, Cyan & NIR (OCN, NDVI)
- Red, Green & NIR (RGN, NDVI)
- NIR, Green & Blue (NGB, ENDVI)
- Red-Edge (RE)
- Near Infrared (NIR) camera
THIS Survey3 W camera features a wide angle 87° lens with manually adjustable focus (an equivalent 12mm lens on 35mm SLR). The fixed focus version of the lens can be viewed HERE. It allows users to focus the camera on a subject for close or distance work.
The camera enclosure features an external uSD memory card port allowing access to captured media without opening the housing. The removable rear door opens to provide access to the Survey 3 camera’s LCD screen controls. It also reveals 2 switches for control power and GNSS (GPS) source (internal vs external). Live video can be easily viewed over WIFI; remote trigger for image capture, camera setting adjust and captured media can be extracted using the free Mapir Android Survey3 Control Application. An industrial grade m12 cable connection provides power and signal control to the camera system.
MAPIR cameras are widely used for checking a wide range of vegetation, mineral & burn indices including:
- Normalised Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI)
- Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI)
- Chlorophyll Vegetation Index (CVI)
- Modified Sample Ratio (MSR)
- Iron Oxide Ratio (IOR)
- Burn Area Index (BAI)AND MORE!
For further details of how these cameras are used please refer to each camera below or download our DATASHEET from the TAB below.
We supply all MAPIR Survey3 cameras with an external advanced V2 GNSS receiver (other choices available) utilising a u-blox MAX-M10S module to provide even better image geolocation accuracy compared to earlier models. This provides instant geo-tagging for every captured image which can be processed on MAPIR, Pix4D, Metashape, DroneDeploy, One Button, C3D, MapsMadeEasy, and other software.
The MAPIR T3-R50 or T3-R125 diffuse reflection ground calibration target is highly recommended to provide a highly accurate calibrated reflectance values for captured media.
