GoPro Media Mod for Hero 9-13 cameras

The GoPro Media Mod is an essential add on for any GoPro camera when being used professionally.  It features USB-C, HDMI, and 3.5mm mic port connections plus a built in direction microphone and two Cold Shoe mounts.  The Media Mod also provides a tough wrap around exterior to help protect your camera!  The Media Mod is suitable for GoPro Hero 9-13 cameras as well as equivalent Back-Bone modified GoPro cameras.
To attach simply remove the camera battery door, slide the camera into the Media Mod and clip shut. The front and rear of the camera remain visible and accessible whilst the Power/Mode button is extended through the body. The new connectors are now moved to the rear of the camera and protected by a rubber cover.

USB-C connection
The USB-C allows you to attach external power such as mains USB, external batteries such as our Voltaic range with “Always On” feature or the GoPro Volta.

HDMI Output
This major feature enables the camera to have an HDMI output enabling the camera to attach to larger screen for monitor or playback purposes.  In addition it provides the ability to clearly adjust lens focus on Back-Bone Modified GoPro cameras.

Direction Microphone
A built-in directional mic allows enhanced sound capture compared to the inbuilt microphone. A removable foam mic cover suppresses wind gust up to 20 mph (32 kph).  The camera settings detect and allow multiple audio presets for different circumstances / environments.

3.5mm Microphone Port
This allows you to add your own microphone to the camera.
For Example SeeSense recommends connecting a 3DIO binaural microphone which allows the GoPro camera to record sounds replicating the way human ears perceive them in real life! Simply put, by capturing sound from multiple directions in separately “ears”, binaural audio can create the illusion of sound coming from different positions in space. COOL OR WHAT?!!!

Cold Shoe Mounts

Two cold-shoe mounts are located on the top and beneath the directional microphone.  These allow attachment of lights, LCD screens, additional mics, etc. The GoPro Light Mod can attach here.
